Artist Profile:
Chuan Zheng Xiong(born 1938; Wuhan, China)

Xiong Chuanzheng Studied at Hubei Institute of Arts in 1965, and completed his 4-year oil painting courses. At present, he is a vice professor of Kunming Folk Artists Stadium, a member of Sculpture Committee of China Arts and Crafts Institute, a member of Chinese Folk Artists Committee, and art advisor of Peking Baima Gallery, a research fellow of Luoning Chinese National Culture and Arts Institute, a member of Yunnan Branch of Chinese Fine Artist Committee and a member of Kunming Calligrapher Committee.

He has devoted himself in the organization and the guidance of public fine arts, as well as national folk arts for a long time. His works include oil painting, gouache, watercolor painting, engraving, figure painting and sculpture. Many of his paintings have been put on exhibitions and won awards in China. Some of his paintings were exhibited and collected by people from Singapore, Japan, Bolivia, Hongkong and Taiwan.
