To me, Chinese Brush Painting is just another step on a
familiar ladder. 30 years ago I began teaching Chinese cooking. Five
years later, I began to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. Then, I
introduced Tai’ Chi into my life and now teach it. Last year, I began
to study Chinese Brush Painting. I find it to be a way of looking at
the world in which each painting is a microcosm of the whole picture.
In addition to my love of Chinese culture, I have been enthralled with
clay as a potter and teacher. Chinese Brush Painting has allowed me
to join these together, by painting on the clay I form. It is as though
two friends have come together for an exciting yet comfortable evening
on the town.
