I instruct Asian art classes at the Islip Museum in E. Islip, LI, NY. and have been past president of the LI Sumi-e
Society from 1999-2005. My work has been shown at the Osaka Fine Art Museum, Japan, Gallery Korea at the
Korean Embassy, Washing DC, Kyoto Museum, Japan, and many exhibitions throughout Long Island,NY
The beauty of of Sumi-e painting is in its immediacy, this painting was painted to music, the flower and the bamboo
was something I was thinking about, and decided to paint in a monochromatic style.
