About the Painting:

 

I enjoy looking at nature. This landscape was painted on a cold day in January when I was looking through the glass of

a bay window. The glass enclosed the interior space and opened the exterior space for contemplation and reflection. It was the rhythm of the landscape that I hoped to capture as the brush and ink moved across the paper.

 

About the Artist:

 

Terry Kimmel who signs her paintings Kai Moon studied western painting in the United States at Skidmore College and Columbia University Teachers College.

 

She began her study of Chinese painting in Chinatown, New York City. She has had solo exhibitions at The Hutchins Gallery at C.W.Post College, A.I.A. Gallery, Locust Valley Library and participated in group exhibitions at the Tang Gallery at Skidmore College, Huntington Art League, and LaGuardia Community College.
